Minor

The minor in religion provides a coherent and balanced set of courses, with work on general theories of religion, on Western religious traditions, and on Eastern traditions. Minors are permitted to preregister for up to two courses per quarter.

The minor in Religion consists of 6 courses in the department:

  • Religion 170: Religion in Human Experience
  • Five other religion courses beyond the 100 level, including at least 3 at the 300 or 400 level. Of these 5, at least 1 must be in Western religions (Christian, Islam, Judaism) and at least 1 in Eastern religions.
