CIC Traveling Scholar Program
The Committee on Institutional Cooperation’s Traveling Scholars program entitles Northwestern students to take from one course to a full schedule of courses tuition-free at participating CIC institutions for up to three quarters (or two semesters) of their graduate careers. A number of our students make use of single advanced language courses or topical seminars in history, philosophy, or religion at the University of Chicago, but full-time quarter or (for fall or for an entire year) semester study in other institutions is possible if it fits a student’s program.
The courses must be approved by both the adviser and the course professor(s). Students are strongly encouraged to begin the application and registration process at least six weeks before the beginning of the term in which they wish to register.
