Parking & Maps

The McCormick Tribune Center (1870 Campus Drive) is located on the southeastern portion of Northwestern University's Evanston campus, near the lake and just off Sheridan Road.

Parking

Parking is available in the university parking lot just off Sheridan Road and south of Arts Circle Drive. You may retrieve a parking pass at the University Parking Office, located at 1819 Hinman Avenue. Passes should be placed on the rear view mirror of your car. Please obtain a parking pass before you park your car. Parking is free on campus after 4 PM on weekdays. Therefore, parking will be free for the opening reception on the evening of Thursday, February 21st.

Directions to the McCormick Tribune Center:

From Hotel Orrington: This is a ten minute walk. Go north on Orrington Avenue until it intersects with Clark Street. Turn right on Clark Street, then left on Chicago Avenue. Cross and walk east along Sheridan Road. Many pathways will lead into campus, but do not turn into campus until a maintenance road (Campus Drive) appears on your left. Walk north along Campus Drive. The McCormick Tribune Center is the second building on your right. Other Directions to the McCormick Tribune Center:

From the south:
Going north on Sheridan Road from south Evanston, you will see the road curve sharply to the left (westbound) when it reaches the main body of campus. Just as the road curves to the left, turn right to enter the campus. There is a large parking lot on your right, where you may park.

From the north and west:
Going south on Sheridan Road from north Evanston, you will pass the main body of the campus on your left. Stay in the left lane. At the south end of the campus, Sheridan Road curves to the left (eastbound) at a stoplight. Turn left with Sheridan (you will see an iron gated walking entrance to campus on the left corner). Take your first left onto campus, which occurs just as Sheridan curves once again to the right (southbound). This entrance is sandwiched between a Northwestern South Campus Entrance sign and a Centennial Park sign. There is a large parking lot on your right, where you may park.

From the Metra:
Take the Metra Union Pacific North Line to the Davis Street Station. Walk to the north end of the platform and go down to Church Street. Turn right and walk four blocks east to Chicago Avenue. Make a left, turning north onto Chicago Avenue. Walk two blocks north to Sheridan Road. Turn right and walk two blocks east on Sheridan Road. Make a left at Campus Entrance B, located just before Fisk Hall, the Medill Journalism Building. McCormick Tribune Auditorium is located just up the path on the right, at 1870 Campus Drive.

From the CTA:
Take the CTA Purple Line to the Davis Street Station. Exit through the east side of the station. Turn left on Benson Avenue and proceed north ½ block to Church Street. Turn right on Church Street and walk three blocks east to Chicago Avenue. Make a left, turning north onto Chicago Avenue. Walk two blocks north to Sheridan Road. Make a left at Campus Entrance B, located just before Fisk Hall, the Medill Journalism Building. McCormick Tribune Auditorium is located just up the path on the right, at 1870 Campus Drive.
